00 /MADE IN FINLAND · BUILT FROM ZERO · SINCE 2024

We did not integrate someone else's AI.
We built the entire thing ourselves.

The AI engine. The LLM. The vector database. The inference runtime. The operating system layer. The connectivity stack. Every line of architecture — ours. No third-party model. No external dependency. No foreign infrastructure. This is what genuine sovereignty looks like.

01 / THE TECHNICAL REALITY

What “built from scratch” actually means.

Most systems described as “sovereign AI” today are assemblies. They take an open-weight model from one provider, a vector database from another, a cloud runtime from a third, and a connectivity layer from a fourth - then call the combination sovereign because the data stays within a national border.

That is not sovereignty. That is outsourced dependency with a flag on it.

Lotus Sirius took a different path. In 2024, we built an industrial AI system in which every technical component; the language model, the inference engine, the embedding architecture, the database layer, the operating system abstraction, and the connectivity framework was - designed and written by our own team.

No Mistral weights. No Hugging Face runtime. No Pinecone, no Weaviate, no PostgreSQL extensions. No AWS, Azure, or any hyperscaler infrastructure. The intellectual property, the architecture decisions, and the operational behaviour are entirely and permanently ours — and, when deployed, entirely and permanently yours.

02 / THE FULL STACK

Every layer engineered, not assembled.

Conventional LLMs are trained once, frozen, deployed. When your organisation's knowledge changes you either retrain — expensive, slow — or bolt on RAG that queries external documents at inference time. RAG works. Until it doesn't.

The Lotus Sirius LLM does not retrieve — it absorbs. Knowledge is integrated directly into the model's parameter space during continuous, on-device learning cycles. The model does not look up what it knows; it knows it.

  • ▸ Continuous on-device parameter growth
  • ▸ No external retrieval pipeline required
  • ▸ Measurably more capable in year three than year one
  • ▸ Zero bytes leave your perimeter — ever
03 / COMPLIANCE BY ARCHITECTURE

EU AI Act compliance is not a checklist.

The EU AI Act, NIS2, GDPR and the emerging EU Data Act impose requirements that are genuinely difficult to meet with conventional AI: explainability, auditability, data residency, human oversight, and the right to halt automated decision-making.

These requirements are difficult because most systems were designed for performance and scale — compliance was retrofitted later, imperfectly.

We did not build a compliant system. We built a system that compliance describes.

Explainability

Runs on infrastructure we control and can instrument.

Auditability

Every decision path logged on hardware you own.

Data residency

Architecture physically cannot send data outside the boundary.

Human oversight

Built into the operational interface.

Right to halt

Design primitive, not a safety feature.

04 /THE WINDOW

The organisations that act now will not need to rebuild later.

DEPLOYED · PROVEN · AVAILABLE NOW

Building a genuinely sovereign AI infrastructure from zero — the model, the engine, the database, the OS layer, the connectivity stack, the integration framework — took our team years of focused work. We know exactly how long it takes, because we did it.

Organisations that begin this process today face a compounding disadvantage. The longer a system runs on non-sovereign infrastructure, the deeper the dependency grows. Data is processed in foreign environments. Institutional knowledge is absorbed into models that belong to someone else.

We are already here. The architecture is proven. The system is deployed. The only variable is when you decide to move.
